Know where you
stand on

accessibility.

We scan your website, find the issues, and give you a clear report you can use — whether you need to fix things or file your accessibility statement.

Synli is an AI-assisted accessibility scanning platform that identifies WCAG-linked issues, separates tool-verified findings from items needing human review, and exports structured evidence. Automated scans do not determine legal compliance.

Scan

We crawl the pages that are reachable within your configured scope and page limit. Authenticated pages can be included when you provide a valid session or saved credential; coverage depends on the paths and states the crawler can reach.

Understand

Browser-based rules, captured evidence, and AI-assisted analysis identify likely accessibility issues. Findings link to a specific rule and show whether the tool verified the result or a person still needs to review it; assistive-technology and usability testing remain separate tasks.

Report

You get a clear overview of tool results and items that still need human review. Reviewed evidence can be used in Synli's statement draft and per-criterion uustatus.no copy helper, or exported as structured Markdown for remediation. The official filing is completed on uustatus.no.

48/42 for Norwegian public solutions.
35/29 for private.

Rules that still apply

Some requirements were removed from the international standard but still count under Norwegian law. We flag them clearly so you don’t miss anything.

Apps vs. websites

Native apps have different rules than websites. Tell us what you’re building and the report adjusts automatically.

Third-party content

Embedded maps, chat widgets, video players. We identify them and flag them separately, so nothing gets swept under the rug.

Honest results

Every item is clearly marked as verified by the tool or needing a human check. No inflated scores. You see exactly what we tested and what still needs your attention.

Common questions

Does Synli replace manual accessibility review?
No. Synli automates checks that can be supported by browser evidence and uses AI to organise additional review candidates, but many WCAG questions depend on context, representative page and state coverage, assistive-technology testing, and human judgement. Treat the report as structured evidence for a qualified reviewer, not as a complete conformance audit by itself.
Which standards does Synli test against?
Synli can structure checks and findings against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 at level AA. A configured profile shows relevant Norwegian baselines and flags where public-sector WAD, UK, or EU EAA scope needs confirmation. EN 301 549 and the EAA include scope and requirements beyond an automated WCAG scan, so the profile is not a legal determination.
What is the difference between 48 and 35 criteria?
Uutilsynet lists 48 requirements for Norwegian public-sector websites and 42 for public-sector apps. The current Norwegian baseline for covered private websites is 35 WCAG 2.0 criteria; covered apps use 29 WCAG 2.1 criteria. Whether a solution is covered depends on legal scope and exemptions. EAA applicability in EU markets is a separate assessment, not the source of Norway's 35-criterion website baseline.
How does Synli connect to uustatus.no?
Synli groups reviewed evidence by criterion and can produce a Norwegian statement draft plus a per-criterion copy helper for public-sector reporting. Automated results remain unanswered until a person confirms them, and the organisation must complete and publish the official statement on uustatus.no. Statement drafting is available on the Pro plan.
What does the confidence score and 'needs human check' label mean?
Some findings can be confirmed with certainty by automated analysis — for example, a button with no accessible name. Others involve heuristics or AI-assisted review, where the tool can flag a likely issue but cannot be definitive without context. These are shown as 'needs human check' with a confidence score. You must review and confirm or override them before the report is considered complete.
Is Synli suitable for private-sector companies as well as public sector?
Yes. Synli supports private-sector WCAG work and can flag a possible EAA scope check for specified EU markets. The EAA applies to particular product and service categories through national law, with exemptions and documentation duties that an automated scanner cannot decide. In Norway, the current 35/29 baselines and the status of EAA implementation must be assessed separately.
Can Synli scan pages that require login?
Yes. Synli supports authenticated scanning through saved credentials and an interactive browser session for flows such as OAuth, two-factor authentication, and SSO. For interactive login, Synli does not persist the site password; encrypted browser session state may be stored so the crawler can reuse the approved session.
